RPM Racing is a group of dedicated NASCAR fanatics that play the computer stock car simulation NASCAR Racing 2003 Season for the PC. We race online at CyberThunder Racing, one of the premier leagues for online racing simulations. They run the NASCAR Nextel Cup modification, the Busch Grand National modification, the Craftsman Truck Series Modification, as well as a "fixed" setup IROC league and a league that only runs tracks over 2 miles. We were founded by members GWMora and Seat17 and have been growing ever since. Not only do we share setups, but we work together on the track. |

"Iceman-CTR wins at Kansas Motor Speedway as points chase between three RPM teammates heats up." 09/27/2006
Iceman posted yet another victory Wednesday night after leading 33 of 81 laps. AJ02 finished second, .53 seconds behind, with GWMora, Vetteman, and PackmanNFL rounding out the top 5. An overall good day for team RPM was a sort of bittersweet. The CTR Young Gunz points leader, Heater-RPM, had a dismal 7th place finish after getting caught out by a yellow flag during pit stops. This allowed fellow teammates Vetteman and AJ02 to close in to a mere 34 points in a tie for second. Fellow teammate Hammer-RPM brought out a late race caution and finished tenth on the night. AJ02 had this to say after the race. "I just couldn't catch him. He was mad fast all night and took off on that last restart. But we'll take a second place finish any day of the week. I'm just glad we finally overtook Beaster [in the points]. Every spot matters at this point, and we just gotta take it one race at a time." The Young Gunz are off to Lowe's Motor Speedway (BR version) in Charlotte, North Carolina this week, with only six races left in the chase for the championship. <RPM>

"Ex Team RPM member Schultz-BAMF wins at Kansas Motor Speedway!" 10/1/2006 Schultz from BAMF motorsports took the checkered flag Sunday night in the first race in the IROC "Chase For the Championship". Animal finished second, Iceman third, Family Guy fourth, and Beaster-CTR was the last top 5 finisher. The race was not without incident, however, as Family Guy got together with chaser Diggit-CTR. "Totally my fault. I was trying to make sure I didn't drift up into a chase guy (Animal), and ended up spinning and taking out another chase guy (Diggit). Just an explanation, not an excuse. I know it doesn't help him any, but I do feel bad about messing up his chase run." Diggit-CTR was in a surprisingly good mood after the race. "It's no big deal. I went to my backup pc and spent all of the practice session trying to get it to work, so I got no practice time in. I was just hanging out in the back trying to get a feel for the car. Just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's been a while since I had a DNF, so I knew I was due for one. Nothing FG did. I just chose the wrong line and killed my engine. I will bounce back next week. Lowe's is [my home track and it's] usually pretty good to me." There are nine races left in the IROC season, with the series heading to Lowe's Motor Speedway (BR version) next weekend. Look for all of the chase teams to be scrambling to get as many points as possible. <RPM> |

"Team Outlaw driver Animal dominates in win at Chicagoland, tough day for points leader Beaster-CTR."
10/2/2006 Animal was the class of the field Monday night as he led an astonishing 92 of 94 laps. Family Guy finished second, 1.16 seconds behind, with Dupontman1, Schultz-BAMF, and VinnyC completing the top 5. There were four cautions on the night for a total of twelve laps. "I waited 94 laps for him to bobble, but he never did. There were two laps under caution that he didn't lead, however. So there is still room for improvement." joked Family Guy. He also mentioned that he was using his fellow teammate Bubbasharpe's setup for the race. "I had nothing until he sent me his race setup. Tom's (Schultz's) Q set started me up front, and Bubba's race set kept me there." Points leader Beaster, however, got caught up in an early incident and finished as the last car on the lead lap in tenth position. This allowed Schultz to close in to just eight points behind going into the halfway point of the segment. RPM drivers GWMora and Vetteman did not fare much better. GWMora took the checkers in seventh position, twenty seconds behind the winner, and Vetteman failed to finish the race, dropping out with 22 laps remaining in the race. The CyberThunder Truxxx division is off to Pocono next week, a track that is usually very good to rookie drivers. <RPM>
